Case Study
Locate Vapor Entry Point

Mark KramJanuary 13, 2020Mid-Atlantic US
Client: Large industrial facility
After years of traditional evaluation methods, TCE entry point locations remained unidentified at a large industrial facility in the Mid-Atlantic US.
Within hours of continuous monitoring deployment, spatial and temporal patterns revealed that highest concentrations were in the basement where two sumps were located. The consultant covered the sumps with visqueen sheeting. Within a few hours VaporSafe™ confirmed a drop in indoor concentrations to safe levels.
Key Lesson
Continuous monitoring rapidly responds to simple building modifications, which can help pinpoint vapor entry locations.
